app-schema.xml and table generation

Having a problem using auto table creation with the xml file.  If I do
not specify the table primary key to be generated by the idbroker, the
resulting script lacks a datatype for that table's primary key. 

Is this behavior familiar to anyone.  We are using tdk2.1 with
postgresql 7.2.1.
