It currently does not do it and this ends up terminating the container. The decision of whether or not to reuse a container that had a failed task is something that the AM should do (and it does so now by not reusing that container). Lets keep the decision in one place - the AM. YARNTezDAGChild should catch the exception, report the error and then wait for further instructions from the AM.
