data transmission with SOAP

Hello,

I would like to know if anybody has expierence in sending big files with SOAP 
(using the data type "xsd:base64binary"), for example. I want to send very 
large tgz files, which I normally send via HTTPS. That would simplify the 
code, since an extra HTTPS server were no longer required.
