About red5-shutdown.sh

In this file, there are the config options like this.

# port, username, password
export RED5_OPTS="9999 red5user changeme”

I am assuming that I actually need to set them?

Just checked using Linux (Ubuntu 14.10) and it works
Unfortunately I have too old Mac only (no java7, OM will not start)
will try to get the newer one and check

Ok, so I set it back to this even leaving ‘change’ as it is. Effectively no password I guess? does it need one?

The open meetings server shutdown

Openmeetings robert$ ./red5-shutdown.sh
Running on Darwin
Starting Red5
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option UseStringCache; support was removed in 8.0
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using the ParNew young collector with the Serial old collector is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release
Attempting to connect to RMI localhost:9999
Red5 Tomcat loader was found
Calling shutdown
Roberts-Mini:Openmeetings robert$

And, there are some 10 of these errors in the log.

[ERROR] [RMI TCP Connection(4)-192.168.0.15] org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader - The web application [/openmeetings] appears to have started a thread named [org.springframework.scheduling.quartz.SchedulerFactoryBean#0_Worker-9] but has failed to stop it. This is very likely to create a memory leak.
Nov 24, 2014 2:01:06 PM org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader clearReferencesThreads
SEVERE: The web application [/openmeetings] appears to have started a thread named [org.springframework.scheduling.quartz.SchedulerFactoryBean#0_Worker-10] but has failed to stop it. This is very likely to create a memory leak.

Interesting stuff.
