>
> Key: TRAFODION-1520

> Project: Apache Trafodion
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: db-utility-backup-restore
> Affects Versions: 1.1 (pre-incubation)
> Environment: All Trafodion environments and releases
> Reporter: Atanu Mishra
> Priority: Minor

> Trafodion restore works by restoring back all the trafodion tables ( user tables and meta tables ) to an environment where trafodion is not initialized. Upon restore, trafodion is implicitly initialized (appears initialized because of restore of meta tables ).
> The script checks to see if there are any trafodion tables(in hbase) and stops with the following error -
> ****[ERROR]: The target HBase has Trafodion objects.
> If there are no Trafodion tables, it continues to restore.
> This JIRA is to provide an option where restore will auto-delete any existing Trafodion tables on the instance (on positive acknowledgement from the user).
