This file https://github.com/apache/ambari/blob/trunk/ambari-web/app/assets/licenses/NOTICE.txt
lists the license of Font Awesome as "Creative Commons 3.0".
According to http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/license/, it is licensed under the "SIL OFL 1.1", which is listed as a cat b license (http://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html#category-b) so everything should be fine.

I stumbled upon this since we did check our dependencies at the Apache Flink project and were looking for other projects that use Font Awesome.
