Refactoring project structure for Leelo
Hi all,
I've created https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBER-10 to track project
structure change, as discussed before.
I'll move on with that change and leave the oauth-2.0 directory empty for
the upcoming Leelo inclusion (any more news on that?).
Cheers,
Tommaso

Hi again,
another issue: The checked in source files contains another author:
Aad van Moorsel. Can we also have an ICLA from him?
Kind Regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your quick reply. I've taken a look at the provided link.
We'll remove the copyright notice once we can access the SVN. Got
confused when I first saw the deltacloud project.
Cheers,
Maciej

There is a formal process how new committers are added to an incubator
project: http://incubator.apache.org/guides/ppmc.html#Voting+in+a+new+committer.
This may take some time, I don't know the status, but I'll check.

Please have a look into http://www.apache.org/legal/src-headers.html,
especially the section 'Source File Headers for Code Developed at the
ASF'. I'd suggest you remove the copyright notices once you have
commit access from the headers and add a NOTICE file instead.

Hi all,
Firstly. thanks Tommaso for including the patch in the code! It's
great that the development can now happen under ASF. Just 1 quick
question, I have filled in my ICLA and got an acknowledgement from ASF
but I don't have: (1) an account for SVN and (2) cannot commit to the
trunk. How can these two things be sorted out?
Secondly, we thought about this copyright but we saw that some
projects in ASF retained their Copyright headers (see Deltacloud that
has been contributed by JBoss):
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/deltacloud/trunk/
It would be great if you could comment on that?
Looking forward to your reply.
Cheers,
Maciej

Yes, the copyright must be assigned to the ASF.
As the header claims that the Newcastle University owns copyright I
think a software grant is required, either in form of a Software Grant
Agreement (SGA) or in form of a Corporate CLA (CCLA). A CCLA is
preferred if Macjej and Lukasz are still employees of NCL and continue
to contribute to the project during working hours.
I'm not sure which process [3] or [4] is the right one in this case
because it isn't a initial podling code base but still Amber is a
podling. IMO the general@incubator.apache.org ML should be asked.

I've applied the patches and everything is ok.
Now the OAuth 2 works can continue here :-) and also let's try to align the
specification API to this implementation.
Just a side note:
I noticed the following inside the headers:
/**
* Copyright 2010 Newcastle University

* http://research.ncl.ac.uk/smart/
and I don't know if the copyright should be assigned to ASF, does anyone
have a better understanding (maybe mentors)?

Thanks so much to both Lukasz and Maciej!
I'm going to review and apply those patches on the weekend :-)
I am also aligning the 1.0 implementation we have to specification and
signature APIs but it'll take a bit more.
For your OAuth 2.0 (Leelo) implementation we can plan a "soft align" as that
is already a stable implementation.

Hi all,
We have found finally time to prepare patches with all code from leeloo
library. You can see them under:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBER-1<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBER-12>
1
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBER-12>and
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBER-1<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBER-12>
2
There are changed package names (org.apache.amber.oauth2.*), license headers
and structure is refactored to suit amber one.
Hopefully there will be more people interested in development. We are
looking forward to having commiter access to the trunk :)
