Server crash and strange errors in lgos

Hello all.

I’m having a strange problem, well not often but it happened yesterday.
I came to my work and got a phone call about my WWW Server was dead.

I checked the httpd processes but they where there. So I killed it, and
restarted apache. After that I viewed the global apache log file, and it
contained(allot of those messages)

[crit] (28)No space left on device: shGetLockedEntry(88cb768,
"mydomain.is" failed in watchUpdateHash

Out of memory during "large" request for 4198400 bytes, total sbrk() is
8381384 bytes

(12)Not enough space: fork: Unable to fork new process

Could someone tell me what is going on. I have never had any strange
errors on WWW Server.

I'm running Apache/1.3.19 (Unix) mod_jk/1.1.0 mod_watch/3.12
PHP/4.0.4pl1 mod_perl/1.25 On a Dual 800Mhz PIII machine. And the OS is
Solaris 8.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Best regards to all.
