Error of DocumentImpl

While running Cocoon on IBM WebSphere 3.0, I get the error :

Error while receiving output from Cocoon
java.lang.RuntimeException: Error during initialization:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Class,
"org.apache.xerces.dom.DocumentImpl", is not of type org.w3c.dom.Document.

What does this mean ?

Any help would be appreciated.
