[jira] [Created] (SPARK-22107) "as" should be "alias" in python
quick start documentation
John O'Leary created SPARK-22107:
------------------------------------
Summary: "as" should be "alias" in python quick start documentation
Key: SPARK-22107
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-22107
Project: Spark
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Documentation
Affects Versions: 2.2.0
Reporter: John O'Leary
Priority: Trivial
One piece of example python code in quick-start.md reads
{code}>>> wordCounts = textFile.select(explode(split(textFile.value, "\s+")).as("word")).groupBy("word").count(){code}
This does not execute and presumably should be {code}alias("word"){code} instead: https://spark.apache.org/docs/latest/api/python/pyspark.sql.html#pyspark.sql.functions.explode
