# Feature request: Dashboard Working With Apisix in Standalone Mode
## Please describe your feature
As a developer,
I want to use APISIX in standalone mode with a working dashboard
So that I can use "configuration as code" and have the dashboard at the same time
## Describe the solution you'd like
Currently the dashboard seems to only work with etcd configuration server.
It is interesting to be able to deploy the dashboard and make it connect to an apisix instance that is in standalone mode.

Today we have to chose between the standalone mode and the dashboard.
It would be really great if both could work together.

this is a very compelling feature request, I can definitely see the value in that. Even if the dashboard does not connect directly to a standalone APISIX instance, but has an option to export the configuration to a yaml file that subsequently can be used by APISIX in standalone mode

our project is in the same situation. We need the nodes in standalone mode as we define all configuration in the repository for easy recovery and version management. As it is without the support for this we can't use the dashboard in a productive environment.
