Virtual router, docs and howtos

Hello,

Virtual router seems to bring some advantages and also disadvantages.
Can anyone point me to some documentation describing all its functions,
what the VM is running (in terms of software), how can I build a custom
Virtual Router etc?

Thanks,
Lucian

There is also a doc on customizing system VMs - if you are looking for that - search the wiki.

I'm working on migrating system vms to centos and documenting the process a bit better - as well as making it - such that anyone can create their own system vms as part of build process.

Nevertheless - the Debian version is available and the script that creates it - is there too..

https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=incubator-cloudstack.git;a=blob;f=patches/systemvm/debian/buildsystemvm.sh;hb=6e739412

If you prefer Debian version - then you may need to tweak the script a bit and technically you should be able to deploy it. It is a bit outdated as it uses Squeeze build.

If you want CentOS version with latest patches - I have it about 70%. Just need to finalize and test. If anyone is willing to dedicate their time on this with me - you are more than welcome.

Regards
ilya

Ilya, that's great. I'm more of an RPM guy, so I'd very much prefer
CentOS.
Once I get Cloudstack running in a decent manner I'll be more than
happy to test.
