Documentation Progress

Hi all, me again =)

The last time we spoke about this, beta 6 was about to be built. Mike
Bremford made some schmokin' changes to the mod_jk HOWTO, both of us to the
Apache HOWTO and the index page (User's Guide updates were in-progress).
There was some confusion w/the tree between Alex and Larry, and I think
(???) that was sorted out. The confusion is really why I stopped working on
the docs, because I had no clue what was going on and didn't really want to
get involved with school starting and whatnot.

Now that it's been about a month from that, and 3.2 still isn't released,
would anyone mind matching 3.2's branch up with the MAIN branch (docs only
of course) so there can be a single set of docs and I can get back to work?
Apologies in advance for my horrible CVS-speak, I'll learn it one of these
days =) It would mean that the online docs would refer to things not yet
working in 3.1, but they already do, and people shouldn't be using it
anyways <shrug>

Also, once this is done, is there some way to do this?

/tomcat/docs/ --> Tomcat CVS /docs

So the latest docs are always online? Maybe this is what's being done
already? I don't think the community is helped by having new, relevant
documentation buried at the bottom of some tree. Also, having me write
some, then send to Larry who has to back-edit them to fit into the 3.2 tree
probably isn't the best idea since there's a duplication of work and I'm
sure Larry and everyone else, prefer that he cut Java ;)

To add to this mess, I'm not sure what to do w.r.t. Catalina!

Goal: to help the jakarta-tomcat project as much as I can with docs (for
now!). How do I do that?
