But this limits our ability to have additional properties related to the local instance of the snapshot in the OM. We should have generic yaml file instead to store any random properties which can be serialized and deserialized in to a java pojo. This yaml file should not be inside the rocksdb directory and rather should be in some other directory maybe a separate metadata directory inside db.checkpoints inside which there could be multiple <snapshotId>.yaml files which correspond to different snapshot.
