based on the assumption that before_build wont be looking for directories; for the time being i have changed part of the the fire function in hooker.js to:

    var fullPath = path.join(dir, script);
    var stats = fs.statSync(fullPath);
        if (stats.isDirectory()) {   // if this is a directory then continue the loop
        return;  
     }
           var status = shell.exec(fullPath);
