infinite loop with no graphic files
I am getting an infininte loop using FOP-0.20.4 and 0.20.5. I'm not
sure I understand why this is happening but I was able to create a
patch version of FOText.java which works in my particular situation.
The addRealText() method is receiving a NULL from
BlockArea.getCurrentLineArea() and the result causes the infinite loop.
In my siutation the text being added is a single tab character so I
modified the code to look for this character and ignore it. I am
attaching my change. Can someone tell me what the real change should
be?
Thanks,
Howard

Yeah, sure, but a tab fills a line, not a block...
I still don't understand how your symptoms fit with the code unless
the tab was the first text on one of the lines and the expanded
spaces were too wide to fit the table column. Could you post a
stripped down FO file demonstrating the problem?

Since the call to getCurrentLineArea returns NULL there is not enough
room for another line.

The tab character is inside a table-cell with a nested block and
inline.

There is not enough space in the area to hold the text. I'm
somewhat confused by your description, I can't decide whether
the block is not wide enough to hold the tab, which is expanded
to a number of spaces, or whether the block is not high enough
to hold another line.
Check width and height settings. In most cases the problem
happens with item-list-labels, whose width is calculated
indirectly and not exactly transparently for a few people.
