I agree that the OPs problem is solved. However, this comment could be
misleading.
The extension is needed in order for certain operating systems to launch the
correct program for processing the particular file. (This assumes that
association mechanism does not sniff the document.)
The extension should not matter when an ODF package is delivered to the
application, since the "mimetype" entry is invariably present and it is
definitive.
Finally, the ODF specification does not mandate file extensions. Nor does the
IANA registration for the MIME types.
In this respect, failure to launch is different than failure to accept. AOO
should not fail to accept a valid ODF Package that has a recognized "mimetype"
entry.

The file you have attached has no extension, most programs do not perform a
deep detection of the file type by reading the file contents, they just take
the extension into account.
"Bsp 1" should be named "Bsp 1.odt", ".odt" is the extension of the file, it
indicates that it is an OpenDocument Text document
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filename_extension)
When you save a file, make sure the Save dialog has the check box "Automatic
file name extension" checked. This way, you only have to provide the file name,
the extension is added automatically.
If you have other files like the one attached in this bug, simply open the file
browser, go to the folder where they are located, and rename the file, adding
it the right extension.
