Thanks for the great work!!!
Adding Rest Interface to Nutch is very useful, as it allows users to call Nutch to crawl remotely. - As usually Nutch and the web application which manages Nutch are not in same machine. 
Hope we can have this feature in next Nutch 1.x release : )
