search question

When I restore my repository from a backup of the database and filesytem
all the backed up content is search-able from my app but any new content
added is not. Has anyone else seen this behavior or have an explanation
for it?

Check the mailing list archives, index rebuilt has been treated on the
list many times: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/jackrabbit-users/

Best of lucks.

How did you add the new content? Through a running repository or by hand in the db or on filesystem?

Did the re-indexing finish (I am not sure wether this is of influence but if re-indexing is still busy, you might want to wait a little) before you tried to search the new content?

Maybe search indexes have to be rebuilt once you import content to take
into account existing content. Did you try rebuilding indexes after
importing? Good luck.
