I believe it is

<set-properties-rule/>

A more complete example:

<pattern value="*/value">
    <object-create-rule classname="com.iverticalleap.conf.Value"/>

    <set-properties-rule/>

    <call-method-rule methodname="setValue" paramcount="0"/>
    <set-next-rule methodname="setValue"
paramtype="com.iverticalleap.conf.Value"/>
</pattern>

yes - so long as you use CVS HEAD or a recent nightly
(bean-property-setter-rule was added after the last release). if you have
to use a released version, then digester 1.5 will hopefully be coming out
really soon so you'll have to wait for that.
