What happenned to the JSP Taglib veltag?

I was looking to do some Velocity testing, the JSP veltag library looked 
like the easiest way to do it, what happenned to it?  It's no longer 
under the contrib directory.

A pre-built version of the JSP tag library is available from this web site,
I've used it before, and it works great.
