I wonder if we should also backport these changes to the 17.12 branch?
These are improvements, not really bugfixes but they fix inconsistencies throughout the applications' UI. I consider them harmless.
What do people think?

I think we can backport both ticket changes to R17.12, they are UX
improvement,
I don't think this can be cause any functional issue.

I'd not be against for both. We have still some time before releasing, in case we found something which should be minor anyway
