[Trinidad] Dynamic method binding problem
Hi all,
Dynamic method binding does not work if i create it as
CoreCommandButton commandLink =
(CoreCommandButton
)context.getApplication().createComponent(CoreCommandButton
.COMPONENT_TYPE);
MethodBinding mb =
context.getApplication().createMethodBinding("#{searchCommandButtonBean.searchTable}",
new Class[]{javax.faces.event.ActionEvent.class});
commandLink.setActionListener(mb);
and it is working if i ncreate it as
HtmlCommandButton commandLink =
(HtmlCommandButton)context.getApplication().createComponent(HtmlCommandButton.COMPONENT_TYPE);
MethodBinding mb =
context.getApplication().createMethodBinding("#{searchCommandButtonBean.searchTable}",
new Class[]{javax.faces.event.ActionEvent.class});
commandLink.setActionListener(mb);
But only the first method allows us to use partialSubmit, so i have to
use first method, please help me

Hi,
I think we had that issue already discussed here on the list.
Can you do the following:
-create a jira
-with some simple JSP (+XHTML) code inside.
Since I see the "X-Powered-By: JSF/1.2" http header,
my guess is, that you are on Trinidad 1.2.x.
But what is the x ? :-)
Thanks!
Matthias

this, from the header.
The RI has a context-parameter for disabling this.
Thanks for the issue; I'll take a look.

[Trinidad] PPR error with XHTML JSPs
Posted by Mathias Walter <ma...@gmx.net>.
Hi,
I'm using XHTML inside JSPs. If I include the XML processing instruction
"<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>" at the top of the page,
partial triggers won't work.
Firebug displays:
"Invalid PPR response. The response-headers were:\nServer:
Apache-Coyote/1.1\nX-Powered-By: JSF/1.2\nCon..."
and the PPR result is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<?Tr-XHR-Response-Type ?>
Conclusion: PPR should not add the XML processing instruction if it's
already present.

Kind regards,
Mathias

hello,
have you already tried to add the id of the button to its own
partialTriggers attribute?
(the button has to trigger its own update.)
