[ANNOUNCE] Apache Xerces2 Workshop
[Sorry for cross-posting but I wanted to reach as many people
as possible. Feel free to forward this announcement to other
relevant mailing lists.]
IBM will host a full-day workshop on the Apache Xerces2 XML
parser to be held on the Monday following JavaOne. The goal
of the workshop is to educate open source developers on the
design and implementation of Xerces2; resolve design issues;
and have open discussions about the future direction of the
project.
The workshop is open to all open-source developers that are
interested in contributing to the Xerces2 project in the
areas of implementation, samples, build/test, documentation,
and/or administration. However, space is limited to 30 people
so please be sure that 1) you are able to attend on the
specified day, and 2) that you are *really* serious about
helping with the project before signing up for workshop.

If there's enough interest, perhaps. But for now, there's only
about 9 people going to be there. I'm hoping that the number
increases between now and then, though.

Wish I were there.
Are any such events planned for July or later? I'm going to to be back
in California around July 1st.

That's an interesting question. It seems not easy to push XML in Taiwan
either,
or say, in Asia.(?) That's my feelings.

Doubtful.
I was just in Singapore last week giving a talk about XML
and was surprised at how few people knew what it was or
were even using it. From what I saw, I think you'd be the
only attendee! ;)
