   I think it is fine if as part of the SQL API we redefine some words to be more closely aligned to SQL standards (like we do for types). I think the chief benefit of a SQL based API is that it draws on concepts already familiar to people from other systems. I would +1 `PARTITION BY FLOOR(__time TO DAY) CLUSTER BY channel`
