[jira] [Commented] (NIFI-3342) UI - Lock canvas

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-3342?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16517337#comment-16517337 ]

Joseph Witt commented on NIFI-3342:
-----------------------------------

[~mike.thomsen] This is a good place to discuss the idea. It largely has no relationship to the registry - this is a nifi concept in general a request that comes up from time to time.

I think it would be fine to have a user-side mode to block inadvertent UI changes and a mode that allows changes.

> Provide the ability to lock the canvas in order to prevent inadvertent modifications. If the system is running in production, locking the canvas will help assure the user that they won't make any accidental changes.
