[jira] [Commented] (FOP-2696) SVG text is not rendered if opacity is set

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FOP-2696?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15891298#comment-15891298 ]

Jan Tošovský commented on FOP-2696:
-----------------------------------

This seems to be a duplicate of https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FOP-2677 with same conclusion as discussed in
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FOP-2678
My proposed solution was rejected, but no viable alternative is known to me.

> When opacity is set, FOP renders an off screen image and include that into the PDF. The problem is that org.apache.fop.svg.font.FOPGVTGlyphVector.draw() method does nothing.
> I am trying to create a patch but I could not figure out how to get the proper glyph outline shapes. I was only able to get the glyph bounding box. If someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.
