monitor camel with jmx

hello everyone, 
  i would like to monitor "the camel" using jconsole but with a more
specialized MXBean. I want to recieve notifications when certain events take
place, maybe create a custom monitoring interface. From what i can see as
concept, this is possible and relatively easy, but i can't really find any
examples that show it.
How can i develop AND integrate such a bean. Any suggestions are welcome.
