[jira] Commented: (HTTPCLIENT-850) proxypass

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCLIENT-850?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12710107#action_12710107 ]

Oleg Kalnichevski commented on HTTPCLIENT-850:
----------------------------------------------

(1) Please seriously consider upgrading to HttpClient 4.0, as the 3.x code line is approaching end of life.
(2) Produce of a wire/context log of the session that exhibits the problem

HttpClient 4.0: http://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-client/logging.html
HttpClient 3.x: http://hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/logging.html

> Issue Type: Question
> Components: HttpClient
> Affects Versions: 3.1 Final
> Environment: apache proxypass to iis with httpclient jar running in php
> Reporter: Shannon Jenkins
>
> as a test I set up an apache server to do a proxypass and proxypassreverse to the iis site that has php that runs httpclient and it works great (both systems are on same network)..
> but when I went to our internet server and did a proxypass and proxypassreverse to the same iis site via a crossover cable.. the php pages work.. but when I try to connect the httpclient it just sits there until it times out.. it can't connect..
> no firewall is running.. I don't understand it.. is it still using port 80.. is it somehow trying to connect to a different path than the one listed in the proxypass? any ideas?
