It would be really nice to have a java version of RAT that had plugins for maven and ant-tasks so projects are checked every time they're built or every time they are built for a release for correctness.

Well I'll be damned. I thought we had to use the old crusty tools :). I'm updating my setup now. This is great news thanks for the update. I'll never have to manually run RAT again!!!
