Exercising more commands?

How do I exercise the commands which are not used by the release plugin?
I'm thinking mostly of the diff and changelog commands - are there any
m2 plugins that use these commands?

we could add more mojos to maven-scm-plugin to call/execising those command.

Forexample, we can add scm:changelog to dump the content to stdout.
I can cookup changelog edit unedit mojos

Sure, but it isn't easy for clearcse, perforce and starteam providers because they require a server
install somewhere.

The possible way is to implement the TCK methods and exclude TCK test classes from default profile.

The best way is to implement the TCK methods (some of which may not
exist yet).
