I think you maybe didn't commit this log message in UTF8 encoding?
(Note that the commit mail itself claimed to be in UTF8.)

What I sometimes do, to avoid trouble with my local encoding, is make
*sure* I save an actual UTF8 file (C-x RET f "utf-8-unix" in Emacs),
then commit like this:

   $ svn ci --encoding utf8 -F log-message-utf8.txt ...

I usually make a utf-8 file and ci with -F logfile, but I thought that my 
vim system worked and typet it from there (ci without -F)  :-(

Thanks, I will fix the logmsg within a few hours (have to run).
