I'm cross compiling for a powerpc architecture (603e) with a gentoo system.
The configure script fails at this point:

checking whether setpgrp takes no argument... configure: error: cannot check
setpgrp when cross compiling

configure has been called with:
./configure --prefix=/usr --build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
--host=powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man
--infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysconfdir=/etc
--localstatedir=/var/lib --enable-layout=gentoo --enable-nonportable-atomics
--enable-threads --with-devrandom=/dev/urandom

I don't know how to circumvent this problem, it would be helpful if a temporary
fix can be suggested (as enabling certain flags on configure or such)
