[jira] [Commented] (FELIX-4137) Web application bundle (WAB) deployment

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-4137?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13686694#comment-13686694 ]

Jean-Baptiste Onofré commented on FELIX-4137:
---------------------------------------------

FYI, Pax Web project already provides WAB support, with a lot of advanced features:

https://ops4j1.jira.com/wiki/display/paxweb/Pax+Web

Apache Karaf container already leverages Pax Web to provide a full WebContainer with WAB and WAR support. Pax Web leverages Jetty and Tomcat.

What's the value of WAB support directly in Felix as Pax Web is already there ?

> Support WAB deployment: if a bundle has a header "Web-ContextPath" or "Webapp-Context", deploy it inside the jetty servlet container under that servlet context.
