[DISCUSS] moving to git as the primary source control system
Hi,
What do we think about using git as our primary source repo? Other
projects such as Flume are making the conversion.

"At this point Git support is pretty stable. Although I think any
project that's requested to be transferred has been switched. If you
do want to switch as a project then I'd figure out what repos you want
transferred. We're also asking that each project that transfers
nominates someone to help out with infra if their project has issues.
The biggest requirement for that person is probably a decent knowledge
of Python as that's what most of the Git hooks are written in."

I'll ask but I know flume is going to use git exclusively and Crunch
uses it exclusively.

Do you know what the status of git support is, isnt it still in a beta
test mode?
