velocity as standalone

Hi There!
I'm not new to velocity, because I use it with turbine.
So I know how to use it with turbine, but I don't know how to use
it standalone. I would be happy if you could give me an example
java-class which uses velocity alone, and not the turbine implementation
(screeens, ...)
So a java class which implements a servlet, but uses webmacro to put
things in the "context" >> and the vm-scripting (same as with turbine
:-)

Thanks for your help!
Nice Greets!
Florian

ps: If anyone could send me links to sample turbine applications
with docs how to install and deploy a turbine app, I would be verry
glad!
I worked with turbine, but the work of initializing a turbine app did my
colleagues ;-)

Hi,

Take a look at the Velocity project page, there is a standalone Velocity of
course, and with the package comes a lot of documentation ... I've been
using
it for some time as a stand-alone ...
