[~aljoscha] [~dwysakowicz] I like to reopen the discussion.
I mentioned in the PR that we can work around by just transferring properties into Flink {{Configuration}} by calling {{Configuration#setString(String key, String value)}}.
However, it will be nicer for us to extend if Flink can expose `getRawValue` or `ReadableConfigToConfigurationAdapter`. Then we don't have to copy properties.
