[jira] Commented: (PIVOT-519) CSVSerializer does not trim values

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PIVOT-519?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12876266#action_12876266 ]

Todd Volkert commented on PIVOT-519:
------------------------------------

What if the leading or trailing white space is intentional and part of the value? For what it's worth, CSV isn't really meant to be that readable and is meant to support values containing leading and trailing white space -- tab delimited is more appropriate if readability is important.

> This makes it difficult to use tabs to improve readability in CSV files. Values should be trimmed before they are set in the result list.
