[jira] [Commented] (DRILL-1853) Make tests deterministic (org.apache.drill.jdbc.test.TestViews seems not)

Jacques Nadeau commented on DRILL-1853:
---------------------------------------

Please create more specific JIRAs. They could possibly be wrapped by an umbrella JIRA but I'm not sure how we could ever close this JIRA as it is currently written. For example, the umbrella could be: Fix tests found to be non-deterministic and then sub-jiras for each test that you found this way.

> The JUnit tests should be deterministic.
> It appears that at least org.apache.drill.jdbc.test.TestViews is not.
> In particular, running that test class in Eclipse, even with the JVM configured with the same options as ./pom.xml's configuration for SureFire, yields different failures on different runs (even when test methods are run in the same, default order in different runs).
