[users@httpd] mod_ssl configure error

Hi! All, Tried to build Apache-1.3.29 on Solaris 8
from source code.  When configure
mod_ssl-2.8.16-1.3.29 with configuration as below:

"CFLAGS=-O2 LIBS=-lssldap50 SSL_BASE=../openssl-0.9.7c
./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.29"

Got error:
=======================================================
"Configuring mod_ssl/2.8.16 for Apache/1.3.29

Stop.

Hint: Either try to build 'patch' under etc/patch/
Hint: manually and re-run this 'configure' script
Hint: or provide us the path to your vendor 'patch'
Hint: program via the --with-patch=FILE option (but
Hint: expect perhaps failures when applying patches!)

Any idea, what is wrong and how to fix it?
Thanks!
Q.Xie
