Summary: Linux causes Apache to stop listening?
Product: Apache httpd-2.0
Version: 2.0.53
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: All
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: apache@cjmweb.fsnet.co.uk
Every hour or so on my Linux webserver which I compiled Apache for, if there has
been more than 30 minutes of inactivity, Apache stops listening on port 80.
I think it is more to do with Kubuntu (KDE Ubuntu Linux) than Apache but I
thought I had better post it here in case that it was an Apache bug. At the
moment, I am just connecting downloading a blank page and disconnecting every
minute through a program I have written but it does not solve problems in the
long run.
I shall not post the workaround here yet because I am not certain if it is an
Apache or Linux bug.
