When we enhance APPC store, we can convert APPC whitelist (i.e., the field {{pathWhitelist}}) to AUFS whiteout (if the backend is aufs/copy) or overlay whiteout (if the backend is overlay), please refer to the discussion in https://reviews.apache.org/r/53115/ for more details.
