[users@httpd] Bug Versions 1.3.28/29 Fixed In 1.3.31 Or Not?
This question was presented here, recently, and has
been discussed in newsgroups for a long time.
No response on this from readers nor Apache Org.
This bug in Apache 1.3.28 and 1.3.29 versions,
related to preventive closure on sockets which
generates massive amounts of "exec not safe..."
type messages, has this bug been repaired or not?
Someone with Apache back in early December indicated,
"Yes, this is a bug in 1.3.28/1.3.29 which does a preventative
close on socket fd's. Under Win32 this is unneeded and is not done,
but Apache thinks this is an error.
Bumping up LogLevel past warn will prevent the errors from filling
error_log. This will be fixed in 1.3.30"
http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=br9ocg%24olv%2406%241%40news.t-online.com&output=gplain
New 1.3.31 contains zero references to this bug.
Has this bug been fixed or not? Anyone know?
Regards,
Kira
