XMLbeans 2.0 , JAXB 2.0, jaxme 2 JAX-RPC 2.0 , Axis 2.0

hey guys, especially dims,

i have switched my local of WS-Eventing impl to XMLbeans as we discussed
today. I did this cause of portability and to remove Axis dependencies.

Developing Hermes platform independent is one thing, future save
another. After playing a bit i read deeper into that stuff.

As i read, Axis 2 will support JAX-RPC 2.0 which will make heavy use of
JAXB 2.0. So i'm wondering why we make use of XMLbeans instead of the
ws.apache.org jaxme 2 project? I also read, that there where plans to
make XMLbeans JAXB 2.0 compatible, but it was never done.

Dims, maybe you can tell me why apache is hosting 2 so very similar
projects. And what you think about future and what is your preference.

Stefan

Stefan,

You can use either one...i have no preference. for the record, we got
JAXME into Apache before XMLBeans came in as we need JAXB support for
JAX-RPC 2.0. a full JAX-RPC impl seems far away now. You should align
hermes with what's happening in the related projects namely muse and
apollo and whatever you guys want to use is fine. We can always rework
later if necessary.

thanks,
