   I'd like to reopen this issue. The queries do produce rows, e.g. the `count(*)` returns a positive number and the `select * ...` query returns real rows. While the patch seems to address a real bug, it does not address the one I am hitting. I can try to get a more detailed exception by digging into the logs.
