[jira] [Created] (NIFI-15375) Introduce an ability to keep first occurrence of an attribute in MergeContent

Jakub Bogusz created NIFI-15375:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Introduce an ability to keep first occurrence of an attribute in MergeContent
                 Key: NIFI-15375
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15375
             Project: Apache NiFi
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Extensions
            Reporter: Jakub Bogusz

This would be particularly useful when working with time-series data. Currently if the flow includes a MergeContent processor, then determining the start time of a process later in the flow (eg: when calculating latency) requires the timestamp to be stored in the flow file's content, reading through it & aggregating manually. Adding an ability to preserve the 1st occurrence of the attribute would make such easier & more efficient.
