Hi Luo; thanks for reporting this problem.  If you can supply a patch that fixes the problem with a test, I'd take a look.

I've been working on the UnifiedHighlighter (introduced in Lucene 6.3) and it doesn't suffer from this problem.  Might you ascertain if the UH addresses your highlighting needs, and if not let me/us know what's needed?
