Subject: Request for Mirroring ftp.apache.org/apache/

# I am sorry, but we could not find the account of the administrator
# of your archives.

                                            The RING Server project

Dear Administrator:

Thank you for your administration of your archives,
      ftp.apache.org/apache/

We are propelling the RING Server project in Japan.
This project is a joint project of Japanese government and companies.
Would you permit us to mirror your archives from following two servers?

  - ring.aist.go.jp Agensy of Industrial Science and Technology
Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
                          (Master Server)
  - ring.asahi-net.or.jp Atson Inc.
                          (Backup Server)

If it is possible, please give us a special account for mirroring.

We, the RING Server project, are developping a new distributed environment
named "RING Server".

The RING Server supplies following environments:
  - distributed software developmet
  - large scaled software library
(not only program files, but document, image, or video files)
  - software distribution
  - software estimation
  - etc.

Plural servers consist the RING Server. The Master Server and the Backup
Server will mirror your archives and other servers will mirror the Master
Server or the Backup Server. The servers that consist the RING server
are under our administration. You can see the list of our servers
in our home pages. The URL is http://ring.crl.go.jp/ring/ .
However, all pages are written in Japanese now.

Some of mirror servers in Japan are not well maintained. We wish to become
a master server in Japan. We wish to build a fresh and hot maintained
mirror server. So, we will be very pleased if you give us a special account
for mirroring. A lot of users in Japan connect the RING Server every day.
We think that our mirroing decreases ftp links to your archives from Japan.

Please email to kawamata@crl.go.jp for more infomation.

Regards.
