If image is terminated from Cloud WEB UI this custom image is still available in dropdown list for notebook creation and has Active status on Images page.

So, please:
 # Change status from Active to Terminated
 # Get rid of this image from dropdown list for notebook creation

As, an option you can add scheduler for this.

 

(i) Ponder with respect to GCP. Because image consists of 2 parts: primary & secondary.
