Developer Guide
When doing a web search for something, I came upon this 'work in
progress' developer guide:
http://myworkspace.sourceforge.net/DevelopersGuide/DevelopersGuide.html
I'm wondering what the story behind it is? It seems like there is some
info in it which is missing in the official developer guide:
http://jakarta.apache.org/tapestry/doc/DevelopersGuide/DevelopersGuide.html
One example is the mention of implicit vs. explicit components, called
implicit and declared components in Howard's book. (In my mind, knowing
this topic, including the idea of named implicit components) is critical
to being able to work with Tapestry. In this respect, even Howard's book
falls down, as it doesn't deal with the named implicit components at all...)
Regards,
Colin

Hi Colin,
This work has completely stalled. I started working on this a while back
but was side-tracked by other priorities and Howard took over. I shall
put a note to this effect on the website to avoid confusion. The
official replacement is the user's guide; the developer's guide will be
going away. As for named implicit components, I guess it is an oversight
and needs to be added to the docs.
